While Jim Butcher approaches things by using chapters to break up the different threads of a story one chapter will focus on Tavi while another focuses on Isana, etc having so many different threads in teh story was starting to get hard to follow.

I don’t want to give anything away – unlike these fucking book titles – but Tavi continues to do all the things that made me originally love him. There are practically no spoilers in here though. This fifth volume maintains the tone and the pace set in the previous bo By this fifth volume all I’m interested in is to finish this series and get it over with.

And so on and so on…. Butcher has a gift for creating interesting magic systems and his elemental-based furies fire, water, earth and air is well defined and nicely done. Overall a pretty fun book, although compared to Captain’s Furythis ends on a pretty bad cliffhanger such that I jumped right into First Lord’s Fury immediately. Not bad, but certainly not great literature.

Here, instead, there are several bktcher characters, although unfortunately Butcher only lets us hear the thoughts of his protagonists.
