All she did was fall in love. Amazon Advertising Find, attract, and engage customers. I cannot believe I wasted gokdger hours on such a stupid book. Not so much the romance. This is one of my favorite books of all times. Subplots including the history of Sea Cliff and Anne’s attempted relationship with a womanizer spice up the story without overbearing it.
I like Beatrice better. Return to Book Page. Pperfect doesn’t gain any of it back when she’s no longer depressed? This is a great read for those who love to explore the feelings of love gone wrong and the possible future at a second chance.
Anne attempts to remain resolute in her contempt for the man, but his charm and sincerity tempt her in ways she doesn’t expect. I like the premise of the story but am very disappointed with how things pan out. Anybody know of a book like that? Anne Foster is quite rich and well-connected.
I added this to my to-read shelf initially because I thought it would be a nice, angsty BBW read, but turns out the heroine has to get skinny in order for the hero to love her. Given that we’re talking of the late nineteenth century America, a divorced lady was nothing but a pariah.

Anne will make him fall in love with her now beautiful self and break his heart as he broke hers. The whole problem is the development of the plot and characters. He’d not lied to her. Even when I didn’t necessarily agree with pertect the plotline was going, I was glued to this book.
Jane Goodger lives in Wickford, Rhode Island with her husband and two children. Since Sea Cliff will fall into the ocean before then, Henry woos and marries Anne with no intention of being a husband to her.
Rich without janne flowery, deep without being dragging. After wearing the corset, Anne had a 18 inch waist! It has a very classic, yet very charming plot for my book taste. It was plain for anyone glodger see that Anne had a major crush on Henry and when he started to pay her all kinds pperfect attention she was thrilled. She plans to give him a taste of his own medicine by winning him back so she prefect dump him as unceremoniously as he divorced her. The story kept trying but was unable to catch hold of a plot that was running away from it rapidly.
