I could picture myself in their situations more than once. This story is basically about two characters who meet and fall in love because of a lie and their relationship is put in danger and the aftermath of the reveal of the secret. The other makes it sound like its some weird thing only those freaky “Indians” do as if Native Americans were bizarre or something. Daniel is taking his yacht out for some peace and quiet, and so he can prepare himself for coming out publicly.

I wish there was a part 2 just to know how far they could go. I recommend this book and will be checking out whatever the author writes next. The story was a disappointment. Angst free, sweet and funny, this book put me in a really good mood.

And so, I really liked this book about the gay golfer and the journalist trying to expose him as such. The Last Guy Breathing. Characters met and then immediately explained their entire life story and such much of which wasn’t really needed anyway. Very briefly, here are the basics of the story — Rafe works for a newspaper in southern Florida.

I really enjoyed this book. They both struck me as assholes in their own individual ways. He does feel an instant attraction. It had great family dynamics that made me laugh and wish I had a ton of brothers and sisters well almost. You submitted the following rating and review. I am wondering if any other reader will question whether Rafe cattes have left a draft of his newspaper article about Daniel on a laptop that was out in the open and available to any crew member who found it.

Read more Read less. This was a book so full of soul and heartache and at the end peace and love. I loved watching him navigate his way though this very unexpected situation he finds himself in. If you are a reporter, shouldn’t you be a little more accepting of the fact that not everything that is seen in the media is true?

First of all Rafe was being a prick for too long for me to start caring for him, because even when his secrets came out, I did not get an impression that he understood that it is never okay to out anybody, not just somebody whom you started have feelings for. His suspicion of the kid leads him to be snappish and rude but Rafe gives it right back intriguing Daniel even more.

I did not feel the sparks of attraction between the characters that Cates claimed were there.
