The plot was a good plot, but it seemed a little bit like a mix of the Terminator and the Day After Tomorrow or one of those planetary death movies. Another person I liked was Eko, a girl who claimed to know Jacks parents.

I would recommend Firestorm by David Klass to a 9th grader and up since it contains inappropriate text. The last part of plot did not make any sense rirestorm me. There is a lot of action and fighting sequences that fans of action movies will enjoy. Some problems stick out more than others. The fact that my dad who isn’t my fidestorm shot off his own foot to prove his point should be strange enough.
I believe Firestorms message was to tell the reader that the world will change for the worse if we don’t protect it. This book is action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat!

The idea of a young man being chosen for something great without him knowing it has been used many times in young adult books, but flrestorm idea of Jack having to save the world from humans destroying it through different types of klasz is a new twist. So does David Klass and his earth-saving narrator, Jack Danielson, who has been sent back in time to save the planet by finding Firestorm, something prophesied to save the earth, only, of course, no one knows what it is.

Nov 22, Crystal rated it it was amazing. Survival in Love, War, or Sports. The mystery continues after the book is finished, which is when you can then continue with Whirlwind, the second novel of the trilogy. I only picked up this book because I’ve read and enjoyed so many of David Klass’s realistic fiction.
And even though there are many unexplained subjects in this story, I expect them all to be explained in the rest of this trilogy. Smart, but not too smart.
