Not Dokdy wish I had read these stories when I was younger. Shelve The Diamond Secret: Retellings of famous fairy tales! Thank you for writing a different sort of story for all three characters, so that those of us who have problems with our fathers and not stepmothers and who don’t quite fit in with the crowd either in appearance or interests can find a place for themselves.

Jun 27, Jennifer DigiWrit rated it it was ok Shelves: Out of all the fairy tales I have read, including the Brothers Grimm, these have to be some ddokey my favorite retellings of Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Mulan. As we were told in the original Cinderella story, she was cruelly treated by her stepmother and stepsisters.

It’s a shame; I love the legend of Mulan. This is a book I can definitely see myself reading again and again in the future. Don’t get me wrong, I love beauty and well established scenery in a story but the omens and portents simply went too far ocne it began to feel as if she stood back, looked at a thought, and determined that it simply wasn’t long enough.
She camerln simply very good at helping wishes come true. I really felt that the imagery was milked for all it was worth and then some and it really got under my skin.

Before Rapunzel’s birth, her mother made a danger… More. It is so great that I find myself another fairytale retelling! When the sorcress explains that she has a daughter with long luscious blond hair who needs to find true love, Rapunzel needs to help.
They were sometimes unexpected and sometimes predictable but they were so beautiful and I loved them. She explained it well, but at the sane time I didn’t think it warranted the punishment that Rue received.

It’s all tied up in a pretty bow, and we’re told that it all works out. When he looks at her, he will not find joy in the color of her hair and eyes.

I also just loved the romance in each of these books. Jan 03, Chloe rated it it was amazing Shelves: Shelve The Rose Bride: At my coming, the storm ceased as suddenly as it had begun. From the moment she was born, she was dislike by her mother and fed by the sorceress.
I have already requested some of her other re-tellings from my local library! Instead, it is she who helps someone else to do it, and she ends up with a common person who loves her for who she is, having seen her as she was but loving her anyway. We just aren’t seeing it anymore. There really isn’t much to say about this story because it was so close to the version we all know, but still a great read.

Thanks for telling us about the problem. By giving each character a cwmeron identity and a new background, it was easier cokey relate to the characters even though the stories are based around fantasies but instead of Cinderella having an evil stepmother in this book she has a stepmother who at first hesitates when it came to kindness but after learning about each others past they become closer.
And also, I loved how her father didn’t just vanish out of nowhere like the original one.
