Getting the trade and, probably more importantly, the DIY crowd, to see that it isn’t a gimmick will be bloody hard work. I feel they have got this about right. It looks bloody complicated. The size and packaging information is similarly lean, and is kept with the product imagery rather than tucking it away in some unfathomable table at the back of the brochure.

Assigning them to the nowhere-land of Landscaping Accessories on Page hundred-and-summat does them no favours. So, the natural assumption is that it’s a DIY product, and to be honest, I suspect that’s where most sales will come, but as a contractor think about the possibility of being able to go in to a customer’s home and install a neat looking mini-patio in under two hours, with no mess, no fuss, no hassle. The BradPoint jointing jollop is a one-part resin mortar, so like all the other one-part resin mortars currently flooding the market, is basically a waste of time and money.

To recap, StoneFlair is now the premium brand within Bradstone, a bit like ‘Finest’ is the premium brand for Tesco stuff, but once that had been sorted, it became apparent that there were just too many riven product lines, some of which are original Bradstone, some which came with StoneFlair and some that once resided with Border Stone. I’d better crack on with comments on the brochure itself before this laptop screen runs out of ink. However, exceedingly similar lines, such as Bamburgh Mill and Old Town bradston remain, so it’s not immediately apparent how much tidying-up has actually been achieved. It was a Charcon product initially, but now it’s part of the StoneFlair By Bradstone hierarchy which I feel adds the grand total of buggerall to its appeal.

Think too about where this could lead. Here the first 1 pages from the catalog “Walling and coping Panache” P. River washed Limestone flags – just because I like it!

Here the first 1 pages from the catalog “Contemporary paving Finesse” P. Let’s approach it with an rbadstone mind. Still, we’ve seen far worse over the years: The imitation farthings and wildlife inspired bingo prizes are no more. With the exception of the small padstones there has been no excavation.

Is this a feature of the flags or is it just these sample pieces? A robust selection with nothing new and nothing to get you over-excited. Liscia is another newcomer with the same one-size-fits-all problem as already discussed, although it’s xmm in this case, The paver in question is a fine quality cast concrete flag with a lightly stippled finish and comes in two colour options: Experience tells me that shot-textured light-coloured paving doesn’t fare well with tyres.

In fact, there’s a much more informal, magazine-y feel to the whole thing, with substantial sections devoted to how great patios and gardens are designed, and how paving often dictates the overall feel and atmosphere of a garden. This new clean and classy styling consolidates the brand’s position as a marque of serious intent and quality. As with so many other suppliers, Bradstone have put together a range of fixing and jointing products.

It’s only old stick-in-the-muds like me that like websites to have a unique look and feel. Now you can, thanks to carbon labelling, an initiative piloted by The Carbon Trust. It’s a good idea, I can see the appeal, but it just doesn’t grab you straight away, as a good mission statement should. No more sleepless nights worrying about whether Panache was Traditional or Contemporary!

Simply stunning photography – Woburn Infilta block paving. The trouble then is recalling just what I originally thought when faced with the galley pressings and coaster-sized bbrochure back in November! They still do them, in granite or sandstone, but you’d easily miss them in this brochure. The flagstones are elevated so the whole shebang could be placed right outside a patio door to give that much-desired ‘level walk through’ with no bradstoone of compromising DPC levels.

Just two colours for now: Blink and you miss it – granite setts. It’s also burdened or emblazoned you decide! Pushing on, the vastly under-rated StoneMaster is now available in a xmm plank option we desperately need to gradstone up with a better name than ‘plank’ paving.

It is a brochure bradetone follows on consistently with those of the last few years. Steps, and Copings and Edgings might not seem the most exciting of products but these mark a significant step no pun intended in the evolution of Porcelain as a paving material, and as such, they should be featured more prominently, or at least flagged up again, no pun intendedin the main Porcelain section to show how designs can be extended and developed by incorporating complementary ancillary fittings.

Considering the brochure as a whole, my initial brohcure when it was brlchure into my eager, grubby mitts was mild disappointment: Surely there’s a decent photie or two of a sett paved job somewhere in the Bradstone files? This is a flag with a genuinely appealling texture, one that’s bound to stimulate interest, but what can be done with it?

Here the first brochurs pages from the catalog “Contemporary paving Ashbourne” P. Here the first 1 pages from the catalog “Contemporary paving Vogue” P. If people want to splurge their spondoolicks on this over-priced skip-filler, then Bradstone might as well take their dosh and put it somewhere safe.

Bradstone are a serious brand, and the quality you rightly expect from such a significant player is evident throughout. I think we can rest assured on that score! No digging, no wheelbarrowing, no skips or grab-wagons, so how much dosh has that saved?
